Oil Impregnated Sintered Iron Bearings
Similar to SINT A 10, impregnation group 1
Maintenance-free bearing for general engineering applications
Optimum performance under relatively light loads and high speeds
Produced by powder metallurgy process and therefore suitable for complex shapes
Bearing forms made to order: Cylindrical bushes, flanged bushes and customized bearing designs
Compositions: Fe, others
Standard: SAE 853, MPIF: F-0008-35, ASTM B 783-93
Low coefficient of friction
Remarkable shelf life
High tolerance for shock loads
Dampening of noise-causing vibration
Iron bearings have similar benefits to bronze bearings, however they are lower cost and stronger.
Iron bearings typically have a long operating life. Iron bearings, when mounted with oil cups or grease fittings,
need to be maintained or the life of the bearing will be shortened.
